Yuma liegt am Colorado River, direkt an der Staatsgrenze von Arizona zu Kalifornien. Mit um die 100.000 Einwohner besitzt Yuma auch eine vernünftige Infrastruktur. Kofa Mountains, Chocolate Mountains, die Picacho State Recreation Area auf kalifornischer Seite, aber auch die etwas entfernten Little Horn Mountains sind außergewöhlich schöne und interessante Wandergebiete.

Yuma is located on the Colorado River, right on the Arizona-California state line. With a population of around 100,000, Yuma also has a reasonable infrastructure. Kofa Mountains, Chocolate Mountains, the Picacho State Recreation Area on the California side, but also the distant Little Horn Mountains are exceptionally beautiful and interesting hiking areas.
