Phoenix, die Hauptstadt von Arizona, liegt im Herzen dieses US-Bundesstaates im Tal der Sonne (Valley of the Sun) in der Sonora Wüste. Obwohl eigenständige Gemeinde, grenzt Scottsdale prinzipiell wie ein Stadtteil von Phoenix an. Hier lässt es sich nicht nur schön und gut wohnen, sondern in der Umgebung findet man wunderbare und außergewöhnliche Natur. Die Belmont Mountains, die Goldfield Mountains und die Superstition Mountains sind Hiker-Destinationen. Etwas weiter entfernt sind der Coconino Natural Forest und der Tonto Natural Forest. Aber selbst im Stadtgebiet lohnen sich Wanderungen.
Suchen Sie Ihre Wanderung in der Landkarte und zoomen Sie bis auf Straßenebene zu Ihrem gewünschten Trailhead (Start der Wanderung). Die Position des Trailheads ist mit einem "Marker-Symbol" markiert, dessen Farbe den Schwierigkeitsgrad der Wanderung signalisiert:

Phoenix, the capital of Arizona, is located in the heart of this U.S. state in the Valley of the Sun in the Sonoran Desert. Although it is an independent municipality, Scottsdale is basically a suburb of Phoenix. Not only is it a nice place to live, but the surrounding area has some beautiful and extraordinary nature. The Belmont Mountains, the Goldfield Mountains and the Superstition Mountains are hiker destinations. A little further away are the Coconino Natural Forest and the Tonto Natural Forest. But even within the city limits, hikes are worthwhile.
