Grand Junction liegt im Mesa County im US-Bundesstaat Colorado. Am westlichen Ende der Stadt liegt das Colorado National Monument mit seinen tiefen und gewaltigen Canyons, die aus Zuflüssen zum Colorado River und der damit einhergehenden Erosion entstanden sind. Diese Schluchten sind in der Black Ridge Canyons Wilderness und der McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, die sich im Westen an das National Monument anschließen, konzentriert.

Grand Junction is located in Mesa County in the U.S. state of Colorado. At the western end of the city lies Colorado National Monument, with its deep and massive canyons formed from tributaries to the Colorado River and the erosion that accompanied them. These canyons are concentrated in the Black Ridge Canyons Wilderness and the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, which adjoin the National Monument to the west.
