Albuquerque ist mit über 500.000 Einwohnern die größte Stadt in New Mexico; Santa Fe ist die Hauptstadt des US-Bundesstaates. Sie liegt auf etwa 2.000 Metern Höhe, nahe der Sangre de Cristo Range mit ihren über 3.000 m aufragenden Bergen. Im Einzugsgebiet dieser Städte, links und rechts der US 550, findet man sehr schöne Wandergebiete in geologisch hochinteressanten Gebieten.
Suchen Sie Ihre Wanderung in der Landkarte und zoomen Sie bis auf Straßenebene zu Ihrem gewünschten Trailhead (Start der Wanderung). Die Position des Trailheads ist mit einem "Marker-Symbol" markiert, dessen Farbe den Schwierigkeitsgrad der Wanderung signalisiert:

Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico, with a population of over 500,000; Santa Fe is the state capital. It is located at an altitude of about 2,000 meters, near the Sangre de Cristo Range with its mountains towering over 3,000 meters. In the catchment area of these cities, to the left and right of US 550, one finds very beautiful hiking areas in geologically highly interesting areas.
